​In an ever changing world, many people while either expressing their own funeral wishes or arranging a funeral for a loved one, are opting for a more simple and straight forward service.

A simple, individual funeral service at Young's allows for an inexpensive yet complete service, without compromising on quality, care and attention to detail.

  A simple funeral service takes place directly a local crematorium or burial ground and doesn't include a traditional church or funeral parlour service beforehand. There are also a number of other more traditional funeral elements that have been excluded from our simple funeral services to ensure costs, charges and fee's are fair, transparent and as low as possible. 

​The complete cost for a simple cremation service is £1950 excluding cremation fee.     ​

First response collection

Bringing your loved on into our care from their place of death 24 hours a day.

Making funeral arrangements

Providing professional, award winning support in order to arrange completion of  all required paperwork, liaise with all required third parties and supporting you in arranging a funeral service fitting to your loved ones final wishes. 

Caring for your loved one

Providing personal care prior to the funeral service in strict accordance to final wishes. 

Ceremonial duties and vehicles

Provision of our hearse, principal funeral director and funeral personnel to conduct the funeral service directly at the crematorium or burial ground. 

A simple, fully fitted coffin

A choice of light, medium or dark veneered coffin fully fitted for the funeral and hand picked by Young's as the highest quality lower cost option available.

​What's not included in a simple funeral service? ​​


  • Whilst we will work closely with you to find a suitable time and date for the funeral service this is at the Funeral Directors discretion. 
  • Your third party disbursement cost (cremation or burial fee) and any other costs we pay on your behalf such as floral tributes, news paper notices or keep sakes. 
  • On the day of the funeral service our hearse will leave from our funeral parlour and travel directly to the local crematorium or burial ground.
  • Access to our funeral home is between 9am and 4pm for those opting for a simple cremation service.
